Objective: To explore the effect of interlocking nail in the treatment of delayed-union and union of femur or tibia. Methods: 32 cases of delayed union and non-union of femur and tibia were treated with interlaocking intramedullary nails. 10 patients were grafted with autogenous bone at same time. Results: All patients healed up after 43 months. The average healing time was 13.4 months. No complications such as infection or the breaking of the nail encountered. Conclusion: The interlocking intramedullary nail and bone grafting is effective for the treatment of delayed union or non-union of fractues of tibia or femur.
