Objective: To investigate the effects of Betaloc on the left ventricular remodeling and cardiac function in chronic congestive heart failure. Methods: 61 patients on a baseline therapy including digitals, diuretics and ACEI were divided randomly into Betaloc group and control group for 6 months follow up period. The left ventricular function was measured by echocardiography before and after 6 months admission. Results: NYHA class, left ventricular ejection fraction and remodeling were improved in Betaloc group than that in control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: Based on the medication of digitalis, diuretics and ACEI, Betaloc can be improved left ventricular function and remodeling in chronic congestive heart failure.
