Objective: To summarize the diagnosis and surgical treatment for traumatic main bronchial rupture. Methods: Chest X-rays, CT and fiberoptic bronchoscopy are the main means to confirm the diagnosis. Results: Bronchial end-to-end anastomosis were performed on 11 patients whose lung were well ventilated and lung function were recovered. Conclusion: Main bronchial rupture occurs relatively rarely. Early diagnosis and operative intervention save lives.
